Lima Airport Partners S.R.L. (LAP) operates Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) since February 14, 2001. Their role now allows them to expand and return the investment.
The company formed by the Amancae consortium won the international public tender for the concession of the Jorge Chávez International Airport Expansion Proyect.
The concession is scheduled to last 40 years, with an extension option of 10 years (from 2041 to 2051).
So far, more than US $ 400 million have been invested in by LAP for infrastructure improvements and US $ 2,358 million have been transferred to the Peruvian State.
LAP pays a variable concession fee based on gross receipts (50% of landing and take-off fees, 20% of the fares of people leaving the company, 46.511% of all other revenues).
LAP’s shareholders: Fraport AG (80.01%), International Finance Corporation – IFC (19.99%).
Fraport was one of LAP’s founding members in 2001, IFC and Capitales joined in 2008.
